Harn Soper, president of Soper Farms in Emmetsburg, Iowa will be giving a presentation on campus Monday,  November 15th, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in 1505 Seamans Center. Soper Farms, a 1000 acre traditional corn/soybean sixth generation family farm, is going “back to the future” toward large-scale organic food production. Soper will discuss why he has made the decision to turn his farm into a sustainable organic production system and how he is going about making the change. The event, titled, "Deep Roots, New Shoots," is sponsored by the School of Urban and Regional Planning and is free and open to the public.
