The Muscatine Journal recently included an article about a project Urban and Regional Planning students did as part of the Iowa Initiative for Sustainable Communities. Two groups of graduate students worked on separate projects over the last nine months. One student group, including Xiaodan Chen, Heather Milway, Caitlin Shanahan, Xiaomei Xu and Adnya Sarasmita, presented a plan to revitalize the Mississippi Riverfront. The second group included Jeremy Kaemmer, Charlie Nichols, and Yuan Zhang, who presented their plan to improve connectivity in Muscatine through biking and walking.
